John Kerry on the CTBT at Ploughshares Fund Gala

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry comments on the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty: “If we see a future for big-ticket accomplishments like the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty – and President Obama and I do see that – we need more nonpartisanship, more education, and more advocacy from everybody here and from a lot of people who need to be brought here. We need you out there to make the case, because the case, frankly, is stronger than ever. I was still in the United States Senate in 1999, on the losing side of a vote to ratify the CTBT. I thought it was a good idea then. I think it’s an even better idea now.”
