CTBTO Executive Secretary, Lassina Zerbo at United Nations Press Briefing, March 10th, 2014

On a March 2014 trip to the United States, CTBTO Executive Secretary, Lassina Zerbo, met with UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, to discuss the successes that have been achieved over the last decade in the establishment of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) verification regime, as well as additional measures that the international community could take in order to accelerate the entry into force and universalization of the Treaty. Prior to his meeting with the Secretary General, Mr. Zerbo addressed, and took questions, from the UN Correspondents Association. Mr. Zerbo then travelled to Florida to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony inaugurating the new Headquarters building and radionuclide laboratory at the Air Force Technical Applications Centre (AFTAC) at Patrick Air Force Base, which serves as the US national data centre.
