Desmond Browne and Igor Ivanov receive Nunn-Lugar Award for Nuclear Security

Article on the Carnegie International Nuclear Policy Conference in Washington, where GEM Members Desmond Browne and Igor Ivanov were jointly awarded the Nunn-Lugar Award for Promoting Nuclear Security (see also website highlight).

“We all know too well that Russian-American relations are going through a difficult stage these days,” said Igor S. Ivanov, Russia’s minister of foreign affairs from 1998 to 2004. “All of us who understand the importance of the Russian-American relations for international security have to do everything they can to resume a constructive dialogue between our two countries.”
