Leveraging the atom? Nuclear weapons in Indian foreign policy

In this paper published by the Observer Research Foundation, author Debak Das, describes how nuclear weapons have affected Indian foreign policy and how India’s status as a nuclear-armed country has been leveraged to further its foreign policy objectives. Addressing these questions, Das describes the CTBT as a regime that India could engage without compromising its foreign policy and security goals, and how India could engage with the regime by joining the treaty.
